Explore the Workshop Read Our ProcessEvery branch we craft begins in the high country of Northern California. We do not cut live stands or strip the forest. We partner with private landowners and local defensible-space initiatives to clear deadfall and hazardous fuel. By removing this dry manzanita, we help protect our local communities from catastrophic wildfires. By transforming it, we bring a piece of the wild safely into your home.
Uniform wooden dowels cause pressure sores and bumblefoot. Our manzanita perches feature naturally varying branch diameters and contoured textures. This stimulates foot circulation, exercises joints, and provides an iron-hard surface capable of withstanding the most determined beaks.
We never use bleach or chemical dips. Every piece of wood undergoes slow dehumidification before entering our kiln. We hold the ambient temperature between 200°F–220°F for up to four hours, ensuring the internal core reaches 160°F+. This guarantees the complete elimination of pathogens.
Heavy metal toxicity is a fatal, preventable risk. We use only 100% rust-proof stainless steel hanger bolts, washers, and wingnuts. We will never use zinc, galvanized metal, or toxic plated hardware. When you mount our perches, you can trust the metal is as safe as the wood.
Heavy chewers. Medium foragers. Arboreal hardscapes. Sanctioned and ready to mount.
